Are you looking to escape your current surroundings? Feeling like a little “road trip”? Let’s go!

Embark on an unforgettable one-day tour to Tsitsikamma and Storms River, a journey through one of South Africa's most picturesque landscapes. Tsitsikamma, a Khoisan word meaning "place of much water," is renowned for its stunning views of the Indian Ocean breakers, lush forests, and vibrant fynbos. Here, proteas and heath roll down to the sea, forming a verdant carpet interspersed with ancient rivers that carve their way through rocky ravines to the ocean.

Begin your adventure with a visit to the majestic Big Tree, a towering Outeniqua Yellowwood that has stood tall for over a millennium. This natural giant reaches an impressive height of 36.6 meters, with a trunk circumference of nearly nine meters and a canopy spreading out over 33 meters. A short, enchanting walk through the forest on a wooden walkway brings you to this magnificent tree, offering the perfect vantage point to appreciate its grandeur from all sides.

Next, embark on a hike to the iconic Storms River Suspension Bridge. Spanning 77 meters across the Storms River Mouth, the bridge hovers just seven meters above the turbulent waters as they merge with the Indian Ocean. The 900-meter pathway to the bridge winds through the rich, green Tsitsikamma forest, providing breathtaking views and a chance to immerse yourself in the serene beauty of nature.

This popular activity allows you to explore parts of the gorge hidden from most visitors, offering a unique and intimate connection with this pristine environment.
