Overview
Nestled on 160 hectares of breathtaking mountain views and expansive plains, Simbonga Game Farm & Sanctuary, in collaboration with Warriors of Wildlife NPC, offers a unique experience for tourists. This sanctuary is dedicated to educating visitors about the rescue and rehabilitation of abused wild animals. Situated in the heart of the Eastern Cape, it is a convenient 40-minute drive from Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) and 20 minutes from Jeffreys Bay.

Wildlife and Rescue Efforts
Warriors of Wildlife have successfully rescued and relocated over 41 lions from Ukraine to South Africa and two white lions from a closed-down park in the Eastern Cape. Currently, Simbonga is home to 14 lions and a tiger named Gina. The sanctuary also boasts free-roaming animals such as kudu, giraffe, blue wildebeest, impala, and zebra.

Please note: The Lions and Gina are viewable by appointment only.

Management
The sanctuary is expertly managed by Keegan Smith and his wife, Lauren Kylie, both of whom have extensive experience working with big cats and other wildlife. Lauren also assists in rehabilitating monkeys, bats, and birds.
