Tsitsikamma Wolf Sanctuary is a non-profit organisation in the Eastern Cape providing a safe haven for abused and abandoned wolves. Through a once-in-a-lifetime encounter where you meet and engage with the wolves, they hope to raise awareness, inform, and educate visitors. Guests can look forward to informative guided tours, beautiful views, and family fun when visiting the Wolf Sanctuary. The Tsitsikamma Wolf Sanctuary, registered as an NPC under the name TTWS NPC, is a woman-owned non-profit company in the Eastern Cape. The directors are Robin McDonald, Francette Jerling, and Judy Djohoun. The Wolf Sanctuary provides a forever home to 30 non-indigenous wolves and wolf hybrids as a result of irresponsible wolf breeding in South Africa. The women of the Sanctuary are not afraid to work hard, doing everything from fetching dead cows from neighbouring dairy farms and butchering them ourselves for food for the wolves; building buildings; building enclosures; raising rescued wolves and wolf hybrids; dealing with aggressive behaviours of wolves; laying water pipes and plumbing; installing and maintaining electrical work; cutting grass; and everything else that goes with running a sanctuary for these wild, exotic carnivorous animals. The Tsitsikamma Wolf Sanctuary is the oldest and first wolf sanctuary in South Africa. They are entirely privately funded, relying on sponsorships and donations. They have daily tours around the wolf sanctuary in order to raise additional funds. The well-trained and passionate guides will lead you through their beautifully well-kept grounds. They will introduce you to the wolves while teaching you about the importance of why one should not breed wolves in SA. Wolfes is non-indigenous and have no future as wild animals roaming free. Rates: Adults - R250 Pensioners - R150 Children 12yrs and under - R100
