This safari experience lasts six hours and includes a four-hour guided game drive in an open Land Rover, with short refreshments and a toilet break at the halfway point. You may encounter a variety of wildlife, including antelope, wildebeest, zebra, crocodile, giraffe, rhino, hippo, elephants, and lions. After an amazing experience where you will view more animals than you thought possible, enjoy a delicious dinner prepared over an open fire.
The expansive open-air lapa, one of the largest in South Africa, features reed and sneezewood walls, allowing guests to dine under the African skies. A traditionally thatched roof covers the dining and bar areas, creating a cosy ambience enhanced by the glow of a roaring log fire. The dinner menu showcases a blend of safari cuisine and traditional South African dishes, reflecting the local flavours and ingredients available.

1. Collection from Your Accommodation:
• Arrive and check in from 14:30.
• Meet your guide/ranger and enjoy a cup of tea/coffee.
• Ensure you have all necessary equipment: cameras, batteries, jackets, binoculars, etc.
2. Game Drive Experience (15:00 - 18:30):
• Encounter a variety of wildlife including antelope, wildebeest, zebra, crocodile, giraffe, rhino, hippo, elephants, and lions.
• Enjoy the safari experience with your knowledgeable guide/ranger.
3. Toilet and Refreshment Stop (Approx. 16:30):
• Take a break for refreshments and restroom facilities.
4. Evening Dining at the Lapa (Approx. 19:00):
• Gather at the expansive open-air lapa for a delicious cooked meal around the fires.
• Menu includes options like venison or beef stew/roast, chicken casserole, roast potato, rice, mixed vegetables in cheese sauce, mushroom sauce, homemade bread, dessert, and tea/coffee.
5. Conclusion of Game Drive (Approx. 21:00):
• The game drive typically ends around 21:00 under normal circumstances.
• In special situations, such as difficulty finding lions or witnessing a kill, the drive may be extended.
Please Note:
• In case of rain, if the majority of passengers wish to return to the lapa, the drive will continue until 18:45. Only if all passengers agree to return early will the ranger shorten the drive.
• The return trip often presents opportunities to spot nocturnal animals, with lions being best viewed from sunset.
