Blu-Pebbles Tours South Africa – About Us
Blu Pebbles Tours and Transfer
Hi there. I’m Jaco Ras & together with my wife Crystal, we are the owners and operators of Blu-Pebbles Tours & Transfer South Africa in the Nelson Mandela Bay area. I am a qualified Addo Elephant National Park Site & Cultural Guide with although focus on Addo, we customize, design and personalize tours to suit your interests and entrusting that you receive the best possible experiences with us.
I come from a Telecoms and Networking environment, hobbies include being a musician/song writer and also had the privilege being a local radio presenter on Karoo Radio. I am a coffee enthusiast and enjoy trying my hand at new recipes in the kitchen. I lend my ears to anyone with an interesting story to tell about their life and travels, sharing their experiences and the journeys they’re still on. I have a passion for music, reading and learning, broadening my views and knowledge in our ever-changing world.
An unexpected personal life “wake-up” call prompted a completely new journey of my own, starting at the end of 2019, I was led to rediscovering myself and my love for nature, life, and people. Finding a new appreciation for life and all its splendor.
“We want to showcase the beauty that is South Africa in all its splendid glory and diversity with you while leaving behind our own unique footprint and sharing in creating your memories. We aim at giving our all and providing top notch service, the way in which we would like to receive”.
Crystal comes from a medical and retail background and also found herself in a completely different direction when circumstances changed in March of 2020 due to the Covid 19 pandemic, South Africa’s first lockdown.
Crystal has a keen interest in semi-precious stones, loves nature and animals and even calls herself “a plant whisperer”! Her bubbly personality and her eye for detail and organizational skills make her perfect for steering Blu-Pebbles and keeping me on my toes! Her belief that “everything happens for a reason and everyone who crosses paths with you leaves some or other footprint”.
We’re a family business, our daughter Kayleigh designed our unique logo, a Warthog named Harvey, and she inspired our name. She takes credit to most of our wildlife photographs and is a whizz when it comes to any editing. We want to showcase the beauty that is South Africa in all its splendid glory and diversity with the world while leaving behind our own unique footprint and sharing in creating your memories! Travelers may visit as strangers but leaving as friends. Always providing service as how we would like to receive it.
