Nestled within the lush vegetation of the malaria-free Shamwari Private Game Reserve, Sindile Private Safari Lodge provides luxury tented accommodation within the wilderness. Located in Paterson, Shamwari, meaning "my friend" in Shona, is the pinnacle of private game reserves and home to the coveted Big 5.

The luxurious lodge, which caters to individuals over the age of 16, comprises nine premier tents, each with a private heated plunge pool.

Sindile, Shamwari’s new luxury tented camp, is a secluded, luxurious getaway deep in the African veld. Here, guests can enjoy a glimpse of wildlife roaming the landscape under the relentless African Sun while in harmony with nature.

Named for the famed leopard of Shamwari, the camp mimics a solitary leopard’s sanctuary. While blending with the surrounding bush, it offers excellent views of the Bushman's River and nearby plains.

Sindile is isiXhosa for "survivor," a testament to the celebrated leopardess that survived numerous lion maulings to raise five litters of cubs.

This magnificent new lodge, situated on a hill deep in Shamwari, boasts nine premier tents, each of which can accommodate two adults in either a king or twin bed.

Rates:

Rates are per person per night sharing:

• Quoted, invoiced and payable in ZAR.
• Single Supplement: Applicable to one adult alone in a room. Per person sharing plus 30%
• Excludes an R150 conservation levy per person per night. Children under 12 years – R150 per person per night.
• Inclusions: Accommodation, meals, selected local beverages, game drives, guided walks, tourism levy, 15% VAT.
• Exclusions: French Champagne and premium branded beverages, transfers, laundry, gift boutique purchases, spa treatment and retail, conservation levy.
