Gqeberha Coastal Wildside Tour

What are we going to experience ?

Discover Gqeberha’s Wildside coast with penguins, dolphins, and scenic beaches, a journey of ocean beauty, wildlife, and heritage in the Eastern Cape.

Set out on an unforgettable coastal journey along Gqeberha’s Wildside (Port Elizabeth). A region where rugged cliffs, rolling dunes, and turquoise seas come together in a breathtaking display of natural beauty. This guided experience blends marine encounters, local heritage, and pristine landscapes, offering a true reflection of the Eastern Cape’s coastal charm.

Begin your day at Shark Rock Pier, where sweeping views over Algoa Bay, the bottlenose dolphin capital of the world, often reveal playful pods gliding through the waves.

Continue to the Cape Recife Nature Reserve, a sanctuary of coastal fynbos and tidal pools, where you’ll visit the SANCCOB Penguin Rehabilitation Centre to witness the inspiring conservation work protecting the endangered African Penguin. The journey continues to the Cape Recife Lighthouse, a black-and-white maritime landmark that has watched over the bay since the 1800s.

From here, follow the scenic coastal route to the peaceful seaside village of Schoenmakerskop, home to the Sacramento Monument, which tells the stirring 17th-century tale of shipwreck and survival.

Your adventure concludes at Sardinia Bay Beach, an untouched Marine Protected Area framed by golden dunes and rolling surf. Whether you stroll the shoreline, watch dolphins dance beyond the waves, or simply breathe in the fresh sea air, this is a place where nature and stillness reign supreme.
